WEP encryption can be broken in about 3 minutes if a person knows what they are doing and unfortunately the MAC filtering will not help. As a matter of fact, if your router does not support WPA/WPA2, if you can afford it, I would go buy one that does as soon as I could. The Windows firewall will be just fine if you are behind a secured wireless router.Ĭheck to see whether your router can support WPA/WPA2 and if so, change it to one of them.
